Greg Schrock

Mr. Schrock is a Visiting Assistant Professor, Urban and Regional Planning, Hubert H. Humphrey Institute of Public Affairs, University of Minnesota. His primary area of research is around publicly-funded programs for employment and job training (workforce development) and their linkages to employers and economic development activities. Greg has been involved in a range of topics in economic and workforce development, including “green jobs,” sector-based strategies, and arts- and technology-based economic development. Prior to coming to Chicago in 2004, he worked in the economic development field in Indiana and Minnesota. He has a bachelor’s degree in Government from the University of Notre Dame and a master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Minnesota’s Humphrey Institute of Public Affairs. He is completing his PhD in Urban Planning and Policy at UIC.
