Kimary Lee

Kimary Lee is a Research Associate at the Center for Urban Economic Development (CUED) at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Her principal area of research is community economic development strategies and practice. Ms. Lee also specializes in program evaluation work, including Family Economic Security, Earned Income Tax Credit, and Workforce Development programs. Prior to joining CUED, Ms. Lee held various corporate management positions in the offices of a national retail chain. As manager of public affairs, Ms. Lee was responsible for the company’s corporate contributions program and community relations nationwide. As real estate manager, she was responsible for site acquisition and development of company stores in various states. Ms. Lee holds an M.A. in Urban Planning and Policy with a concentration in Economic Development from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a B.A. in Communications from DePaul University. A lawyer by training, Ms. Lee also holds a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center.
